Israel Laws and Institutions are products of Americans?

From an outsiders view, I disagree with this comment. Even though Israel bows down to America, it is not a Democracy, but by name only.  It is obvious; there is no freedom of election [ no distinct voting by district, city etc. of your chosen candidate], no freedom of speech, no freedom to peacefully protest and you can only live in certain areas deemed by the state. No separation between Judicial and State [no checks and balances], it goes on and on.............. It appears to be on the threshold of an oligarchy.  I believe, there is a system that can be created to bring Israel into a Torah government utilizing a rational form of democracy in conjunction. I know it is easier said than done and the elements present are a negative factor, putting it mildly, but the seed itself needs to be planted.
