Special Programs for Immigrants

Academic Absorption Program TAKAH - Tochnit Klitah Academit

The academic absorption program - TAKAH - is for immigrant students who began their academic studies abroad, who wish to continue studying in Israel but do not need a mechina. Read more
Academic Preparatory Course (Mechina) for Immigrants

The mechina is a special study program of the institutions of higher education in Israel, run in conjunction with the Student Authority. This program is intended for immigrants who completed high school or up to 18 months of academic studies overseas. The aim of the program is to prepare overseas students for higher education in Israel. Read more


Free Tuition for a BA or MA Degree Assistance
Description:
  • Candidate up to the age of 23 can receive assistance for Mechina.
  • Candidates up to the age of 27 can receive assistance for a BA at a recognized institution.
  • Candidates up to the age of 30 can receive assistance for a MA.
  • Student Benefits are provided by the Student Authority.
  • Details can be found on the Ministry of Absorption Student Authority website: www.moia.gov.il

Timetable:

  • Must start studies within 3 years after Aliyah.

A student must study in a program at an institution of higher education recognized by the Student Authority.
